I have acer aspire one with windows 7 and I had success with setting the affinity to cpu1 in task manager: opening the game, returning to windows while the game is still running, opening the task manager and right clicking on the homm3 entry and setting affinity to cpu1. setting to cpu0 still crashed for some reason. i did not use the imagecfg program.
